Na Kupuna Dinner

The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association is again proud to host the annual “Nā Kūpuna Dinner” to be held at the Wailuku Community Center on Thursday, December 6, 2018. This event is our industry’s way of giving-back and honoring the senior citizens of our community.

Many of our guests have no family to celebrate the holidays with or are homebound. Each year, these individuals look forward to an enjoyable evening of holiday cheer with friends where they share a delicious meal prepared by MHLA property and restaurant members. The Community Center is transformed into a festive dining facility with beautiful holiday decorations, wonderful entertainment, and ʻono food.

We seek your help to provide 10 to 30 gifts and/or a cash contribution toward gift purchases for this very worthy event. Please keep in mind that they have limited accessibility and transportation and truly appreciated the little everyday items. Below is a small list of gift items our Kupuna get excited about:

• Gift Cards (Longs Drugs, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Target, Safeway, Foodland, Island Grocery, etc.)
• Travel size toiletry and bath items (wash cloths, hand towels, lotions, spa type items, etc.)
• Small Home and Kitchen items or appliances (small rice cookers, lightweight handy-vacs, etc.)
• Gift Baskets - We encourage you to get creative using your logoed items or put together something fun and exciting. No perishables please.
• Cash Contribution – These donations will be used to purchase some of the above listed items on your behalf

Join us as we pay tribute to our senior citizens! Your contribution to this event would be greatly appreciated and your company will be recognized for your efforts.

Donations may be mailed or delivered to our office by Monday, November 26, 2018. Or we can arrange to have them picked up.
